中国历史故事课(春季学期暂停)
本 课程的教学对象为有一般中文听说能力的小学生。教学目的是让学生了解简明的中国历史以及著名历史人物和事件。教学参考资料以《上下五千年》为主,以其他公 开出版物和学术研究资料为辅。教学形式包括老师讲故事,学生口头复述故事,学生集体改编故事,以及将故事演绎为表演小品或者漫画形式。历史故事的选择原则 包括流传广泛,代表性强,与学生生活有密切联系,等等。

Once Upon a Time in China (Class canceled for Spring 2010)
This is a class targeting elementary school students who are able to understand spoken Mandarin Chinese and are able to express themselves in Mandarin Chinese. The objectives of this class are to introduce Chinese history to the young students, and to have the students to learn some famous people and events in Chinese history. The book <Up and Down 5,000 Years in Chinese History> will be utilized as main reference, along with other published materials and academic researches. The class activities include the teacher telling the stories, the students retelling the stories, the students reforming the stories, the students playing out the stories, or drawing comics outlining the stories. The studied stories will be chosen based on their popularity, typicality, and connection to the students’ real lives.
In the 2009-2010 school year, this class syllabus is designed by Yue Lei and Hong Zhou. The class is taught by Yue Lei.
